This is a great work Vrindavan Das. From foot/root/tail to head/crown/moon it carries a lot of symbolism and as well as contrasts between the light and dark. I like the alignment of the three bodies to formed a single unit to represent this concept. It represents connectivity between different elements of spirituality. Its a very dark painting in a sense because of the symbolism of death and the lighting but also because Shiva's expression looks detached but there is a hint of remorse or sadness in this expression. As if in this moment he is facing the darkness of this existence, yet from another perspective it is light with the mood glowing to create a warm background and it appears from this perspective that Shiva is experiencing a slight sense of joy or bliss. Intriguing work.
Vrindavan Das replied:
Thank you. Shiva is everything. Light and Darkness is to parts of dual world and Shiva beyond that.
