Ganesha darshan. Salutations to the supreme Lord Ganesha, whose curved trunk (vakra-tunda) and massive body (maha-kaayaa) shines like a million suns (surya-koti) and showers his blessings on everyone (sama-prabhaa). Oh my lord of lords Ganesha (kurume-deva), kindly remove all obstacles (nir-vighnam), always (sarva-) and forever (sarvadaa-) from all my activities and endeavors (sarva-kaaryeshu)
Merciful Ganesha directing souls in samsara to solvation. More generally Ganesha is Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles, patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom. He is bestknown for removing all kind of obstacles in life. Ganesha wrote down the Vedic scriptures. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains, Buddhists, and beyond India.
Ganesh is principal deity of beginnings. Worshipers invoke his blessings for every passage of life: marriage, birth, business endeavors, and even before departing on a daily journey. Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, is worshiped for the successful performance of one�s duty in life by which we attain perfection. He gifts his devoted followers with boons ranging from material prosperity to spiritual emancipation.
