Superb . Among many wonders - how Mahaprabhu's arm, head and shoulders conform to the shape of the Jagannath temple . Even though He is the center of attention , our gaze must rise upward as His does to the Chakra on the temple spire - and then over to the saffron-tinged clouds , and then around clockwise again and again , taking it all in a little differently each time .

There is a feeling of classical European painting (16th-17th C) in the style of Indian poster art and painting which informs this work, which makes it so sumptuous and magnificent. The theme and content, however, is deeply Indian. One thing that would be excellent in your paintings, Vrindavan, I hope you don't mind my mentioning, is maybe a few words about the subject so that international viewers can appreciate the significance of the theme. I happen to know who Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is and how incredibly important he is to the religious traditions of India but I suspect many people outside India won't know about him. VF
